This is where all the soldiers will eat, the food is free and you can eat as much as you want. They have different foods from all over the galaxy to please your tastebuds, those of you that have them. There is also a room off to one side that the officers eat in. No soldier is allowed inside, but sometimes the officers will eat with the soldiers.

Matt walked into the dining facility shortly after the General's announcement. The tables were busy with talk, the sound of voices actually louder then normal. As he washed his hands he listened to a few of the soldiers commenting, trying to figure out what their commander was going to say. "It must be something important if he is giving us time off after wards" Matt finished washing his hands and dried them in silence. He was troubled, that was obvious of his face as he moved through a stopped throng to grab his tray and a plate. "Excuse me" he said somewhat hushed. He stepped up to the line, Meatloaf, usually it was pretty good but he seemed to lose his appetite as he stared at it.
He turned away and walked to the drinks, grabbing a bottle of water and a cup of coffee he set down his empty plate and began to sip on his black coffee. "Blegh" he made a contorted face and stood, retrieving three French vanilla creamers. Pouring all three in he took a sip and nodded to himself, 'It's much better'
He peered underneath his big goggles, he always wore them to disguise his white eyes. He was a Goth after all, not many people had ever seen his eyes. He waved to a group of mechanics that walked past his table, they smiled and waved back. He was one of the more well known officers, and one of the most approachable according to the soldiers.
He sat silent, sipping his coffee slowly, thinking. War was coming, his heart was full of fear, he didn't want to have to go through the heartbreak of seeing any of the soldiers felled in battle. He set down the cup and leaned back in his chair, letting his back arch over it so that he stared at the ceiling.
Osiris' was in fighting order, but the Commander didn't think they would make it through this next war. The General had been in skirmishes all over the galaxy in his mech, but if he doubted his life on this following incursion something was wrong.
Raised voices brought him back to his senses and he looked towards the Officers Mess, it was a room separated where the officers ate. He hated it in there, it was always noisy and the people inside, most had other then great intentions. He could tell the debate inside was growing heated, shaking his head he determined not to get involved. They must be growing restless since the Commander didn't tell anyone what this was about. The General's secretary was the only one to know anything and she was sworn to great secrecy.
Matt looked around, he was looking for Lou, he hadn't seen her in awhile and he was looking for a bit of enlightening conversation. She was probably elbow deep in that scooter by now, what a thought, leaving it parked in front of Osiris like he did. Crafty, he liked that. Finishing he coffee with a long gulp he twisted the cap on his bottle of water and slowly sipped at it.
He watched silently as the door to the Officers Mess flung open and a few of the officers began to stomp out, obviously very perturbed. Matt sighed a bit, a smidge of trouble for the commander then.
